Beloved “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” author Jeff Kinney is making another trip to Montclair on Saturday, November 6, to celebrate the sixteenth title in the series, “Big Shot.” Since the pandemic began, Kinney has been changing up how to do an in-person book tour--from handing out books with a 6-foot trident to creating a sports-themed drive-thru event. With over 250 million copies of the series in print, Kinney has to stay consistently creative to meet all of his fans!
The “Big Shot Drive-Thru Tour” will be held this Saturday, November 6, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the George Inness Annex (MHS Freshman Building) parking lot on N. Fullerton Ave, just north of Chestnut St. Families are invited to “wimpify” their cars 🚗 with DOWK themed decorations--the Kinney staff will pick the best decoration and the winner will receive a boxed set of Kinney’s “Awesome Friendly” series!
