Everyone in Northern New Jersey loves a good getaway, but deciding where to go is tough. For us, finding an ideal vacation with three kids under ten can be daunting! Our criteria isn't what it was pre-kids and we are always searching for a destination that can feel more like a vacation for us all rather than a trip we need a vacation from. Like most moms on the perpetual mental overload hamster wheel, planning a family vacation is often the last thing we want to do. You could be a kid again: TradeWinds has an immense amount of activities for all to enjoy with different options every day. They have a gigantic inflated water slide right on the beach, hair braiding, a pirate show, crafts, a zip line, putt-putt golf, a touch tank, an outdoor teen lounge, and 9 pools. For the adults, there is snorkeling in a gigantic fish tank filled with fish caught in the Atlantic Ocean, cabanas set up on the beach, floating cabanas, delicious food and drink options, hot tubs, and you'll have the option of an energetic crowd at one pool or less crowded pools to choose from!

Parents can relax: On weekends, check your kids into the Kid's Camp and enjoy your time as a couple for 4 hours alone. Cabanas come with your room, beach toys, and beach games are set up on the beach so you can sit while watching them play. There is a gift shop in the hotel and an adventure store right at the pool with everything you could need from sunscreen, goggles, floats, and anything you may need. There is a spa at the resort for those looking for self-care. The staff was abundant in numbers, the food was served at a good pace not to rush you but fast enough so that your kids won't have a meltdown (you know exactly what we mean!). The resort is cashless so you don't need to worry about having cash. Lastly, the rooms were spacious enough so that everyone could get a good night's sleep!
