On Wednesday, October 11 at 6:30 pm in the Annex, Montclair Cooperative School is presenting Max Stossel, an exciting industry insider who devotes his time to finding ways to realign technology with humanity's best interests. Max, founder of Social Awakening, and Youth and Education Advisor for the Center for Humane Technology, is here to help teens, schools, and parents survive and thrive in this digital world. His vision is to create materials and systems that support young people in the breadth, nuance, and ever-changing nature of the challenges they face. Max is also a poet and a performer and the evening promises to be a great one!
Teaching our kids how to be safe on the internet is our shared responsibility. Max will illustrate some of the specific ways technology is designed to be addictive and distracting, highlight how that's impacting our kids’ minds, and give recommendations on how to address some of the challenges you and your family are facing. This presentation concludes with an open-space Q&A to discuss what’s working and not working in our households.
Please come to this amazing opportunity to hear from Max as part of the Co-op's Lifelong Learners Speaker event.
