The executive functioning journey begins as early as infancy. Here are just a few examples of how your child will use their executive functioning skills:
- The ability to hold information in their mind (sing a song all the way through).
- A wait or delayed response (to dance then “freeze!”).
- An ability to 'shift gears' as they retain new information (switch from clapping your hands to tapping the floor).
These life-long skills have been proven to relate to life, school, work, and success.
