Located in the Queens’ scenic Flushing Meadows Corona Park and founded during the 1964-65 World’s Fair, NYSCI is a world-class destination for learning and play. With over 15 exhibitions on site, families can easily spend an entire day exploring how science, technology, engineering, and math better our lives and how we can all shape the future, together.

Our innovative Design Lab entices children to create anything from shadow stories to mini-automobiles to custom pinball machines. Our Daily Demos mesmerize visitors with scientific ideas that come to life: bottle rockets blast off with water, hair shoots up when charged with ions, and more. Our historic Mathematica exhibition has fascinated visitors for decades. Our new Human Plus exhibition features pioneering technologies that enhance the human body's potential. Small Discoveries spotlights the beauty and wonder of microbes. Energy transforms in your hands in Powering the City. The science of emotions becomes tangible in The Happiness Experiment. Animals’ thoughts become understandable in Wild Minds.

To make things easier for our youngest visitors and families, NYSCI has indoor stroller parking, a private nursing room, and a special Preschool Place for children 6 and under.

Hours are 10am-5pm with the last entry at 4 pm. We are open Wednesdays - Sundays.
