Bass Arts Studio has been cultivating young artists for 18 years with the mission to recognize, affirm, and support a childs emerging individuality, and help strengthen their sense of self through art-making.
Through drawing and painting from direct observation each child is given the opportunity to develop their ability to see and grow sensitivity to form, line, value, shape, color, texture, rhythm, and movement. Children are exposed to a variety of media and given the foundation to hone skill and technique.
Through class discussion and critique, kids develop critical thinking skills and are encouraged to learn to articulate their thoughts and feelings about what they see and what they create.
Bass Arts Studio offers classes for children ages 10-17 throughout the year. Special portfolio classes for high school juniors and seniors are offered regularly as well as private portfolio consultations.
Adult workshops are also offered.
