Bloomfield Township in collaboration with a local nonprofit organization The Giveback Hair Show - is putting on an outdoor festival in recognition of Juneteenth – commonly referred to as Freedom Day. This is the day we celebrate the emancipation of slaves in the United States. The organizers are planning to use the event as a way to showcase African American culture and promote small businesses. Below is some information regarding The Giveback Hair Show.
The event will be happening in the heart of Bloomfield Center along a portion of Glenwood Avenue and Washington Street. The organizers are inviting entrepreneurs and small business owners to participate as vendors for the event, and hairstylists and barbers to showcase their crafts also. There will be live entertainment and ample free parking.
