At the Montclair Art Museum, we care about your child and believe art can enhance their health and happiness by cultivating creativity, self-expression, personal growth, friendships, and making the most of summer vacation! Art camp is for everybody, not just for artists. Camps for kids ages 6-12 and teens ages 12-15.
New this year, Adult SummerART Camp is open for parents and caregivers—and anyone 16+—who want to get creative and have fun too! These week-long morning studio programs take place the second week of each session and are for all levels of experience and abilities. Weekly adult classes and weekend workshops are also offered this summer. Safety remains a priority at MAM and camp COVID-19 safety policies will align with CDC and state guidelines for summer camps and local safety requirements. Classes and camps will take place in our spacious studios and outdoors on the Museum grounds. All campers and MAM staff are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Please check our website for updates to our COVID safety plan. Whether your child or teen joins us for one session or all summer, we can’t wait to get to know you and your family. MAM staff and instructors are committed to providing an inclusive experience that embraces the rich diversity of our community. Scholarships are available based on merit and financial need. One River School has transformed the summer camp experience by developing the most fun and compelling creative camps in America. Our program allows Teens and Kids to select from a wide range of studio art and digital art & design experiences that cater to students of all ages and all levels. Parents love our program because they can customize their child’s summer program by building a menu of camps around preferred dates and camp types. And, our rigorous safety standards ensure that we deliver the safest experience possible. Kindergarten through 12th grade indoor and virtual camps. Morning session 9:30 to 12pm; afternoon session 12:30 to 3pm. 9- 12th grade two week intensives 3:30-6pm. If you a child wishes to participate in back to back sessions they can bring their lunch and enjoy the Wellmont Arts Plaza for fresh air.

Stokes Music Camp is a traditional sleep-away camp for boys and girls ages 10-17 with a musical background.
We were established by the Preparatory Center For the Arts within the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University in 1992. Our mission is to provide a creative outlet for interested students ages 10-17 with a musical background. We pride ourselves on offering a challenging yet nurturing environment for students of all backgrounds and abilities which encourages creative growth and self-expression.
Camp is held on the picturesque campus of the YMCA Linwood MacDonald, near Stokes State Forest. Students and faculty alike routinely fall in love with the atmosphere and look forward to seeing the natural wonders that surround us. From the swallows swooping down to touch Rooke Lake in the morning to the families of deer who wander on the outskirts of campus, these sightings give our students a greater understanding and appreciation of nature.
In addition to our schedule of recreational activities such as swimming, boating, hiking, rock wall climbing, archery, and ziplining, our students have the opportunity to participate in a myriad of exciting musical ensembles. Students can choose from our always impressive musical, band, orchestra, select choir, rock band, and various jazz and chamber ensembles. We also offer music theory classes and private lessons in order to build upon our students’ knowledge and leave them with lasting skills.
Whether you play classical cello, jazz saxophone, electric guitar, or if you’ve always wanted to be a star on stage, you’ll find a home here at Stokes. Come join us this summer and discover the magic of making music in the forest!

Let's get ready for summer camps! Our camps are run in our school from 9am-3pm Mon-Fri, and are available in half-day and full-day options. Kids bring their own lunches and water bottles and we'll take care of the rest! Kids code throughout the week then demo their week's creations later that afternoon.
